We've designed PicYou to be easy to use no matter the task at hand but you may still have questions from time to time, and we're here to help. Below is a list of our most frequently asked support questions to help you get started:
- How do I create a PicYou account?
You'll find a "Signup" button on the top bar of PicYou pages. Click this button and you'll be guided through the short and simple process of registering.
- How do I change my avatar and other profile details?
Once you're logged in, your username will appear on the top bar of PicYou pages. Click your username and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. You can upload a new avatar and edit your personal details here which will display on your public profile page.
- I want to view a list of my friends and edit who I follow. Where do I do this?
Make sure you're logged in to PicYou, then click your username on the top bar. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu, then click on "Friends" in the settings menu. You will be able to see friends to follow on PicYou that belong to your linked account.
- Is there a way to change or personalize PicYou?
Absolutely. As a logged in user, you can click your username in the top bar of any page, then select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. Click "Design" in the settings menu, and you'll be able to change the background image and modify your profile colors.
- How do I link my PicYou account with my other social media accounts?
To associate your PicYou account with Facebook, Twitter, or Y! OpenID, log in to PicYou, then click your username on the top bar of the site. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu, and then select "Services." You can instantly connect your accounts on this page.
- I need to change my email address or password. How do I do this?
You must be logged in to change your account details. Click your username on the top bar of any PicYou page, and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. Click the last option in the settings menu, labeled "Account." If you'd like to get automatic email updates from PicYou, you can also activate updates on this screen, or you can delete your entire PicYou account.
- I forgot my password! How do I retrieve it?
On the sign in page, click "Forgot your password?". Follow the instructions and you'll be able to regain access to your account.
- How do I add a photo to my account?
When you're logged in, you'll see an "Upload" button on the top bar of any PicYou page. Click this button and follow the instructions to add a picture from your computer or from a url.
- How do I edit photos and add tags or descriptions?
Part of the uploading process involves selecting any desired filters and adding tags and a description. Follow the instructions presented during uploading and you'll be able to edit and describe to your heart's content. After uploading, you can edit your photo's description and tags by going to the image page and finding the pencil icon on the top right corner of the photo by placing your mouse cursor over it.
- I want to delete a picture or a comment. How do I do this?
To delete any of your pictures, find the "x" on the top right hand corner of any photo by placing your mouse cursor over it. You can delete a comment by clicking the "x" on the top right hand corner of the comment box.
- I want to delete my PicYou account. How do I do this?
To delete your account and all your photos (your account will be permanently removed and cannot be reactivated) please visit the account settings page and select "Delete my Account" at the bottom of this page:
- I don't want to see ads on PicYou. How do I remove them?
You can remove ads by becoming a Pro member thru our iPhone app. In the app, simply capture a photo and choose a limited edition, paid filter (currently include Craftwerk, Incognito, Mache or Oblique). Once your purchase is complete, you will become a Pro member and will no longer see ads on PicYou.
